Conference Tournaments Begin! -- Ohio Valley, Big South, Horizon tip-offs tonight

Starting tonight, we here at RCR will expand our horizons a little bit (no pun intended). Conference tournament season is one of our favorite things about college hoops season -- all these schools playing for their league's one bid, a sub-.500 team getting hot and making the Big Dance...we love this stuff. And tonight, the first three conference tournaments of the year kick off -- the Big South, the Ohio Valley and the Horizon League.

My brothers, some friends and I are picking all 31 of this year's conference tournaments. Seriously, we've filled out actual brackets for the Ohio Valley, Big South and Horizon League tournaments and I have brackets ready to go for the three tournaments that start tomorrow night too. It's all for fun -- stakes are incredibly low if any -- but it kicks off 13 days' worth of March Madness leading up to Selection Sunday and the big show. For a college hoops junkie, it's just the thing.

So soon you will start to see periodic updates on upsets in the Atlantic Sun tournament or the Patriot League or something like that. You will see a standings page appear on the left here, with names you probably don't know. You will see (hopefully) links to the brackets for all 31 conference tournaments. Don't be alarmed. We're still a Big East blog, and we'll still be the place to come next week for in-depth Big East tournament insanity. It's just that, this time of year...well, it's March. And the Madness knows no limits.
